Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Matthew Hurst attended Stony Brook University, where he maintained a position on the Dean’s List from 2008 through 2012, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in American History and Political Science.
Thereafter, Matthew attended the Wake Forest University School of Law and obtained a Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law.
Matthew’s passion for Intellectual Property Law also prompted him to seek a patent for a computer technology, which is current patent-pending. After graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law, Matthew passed the Uniform Bar Exam in 2018. He is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Utah. Matthew is also a member of the South Carolina Bar, North Carolina Bar, Utah Bar, and the American Bar Association.
As a skilled attorney with The Floyd Law Firm, Matthew also brings his legal know-how and his compassion to the realm of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, and Medicaid Planning. He truly cares about seniors and their families as if they were his own.
