About Us

Since 1973, our firm has been working diligently to serve the needs of individuals and business owners. Over the course of those decades we have built a reputation for providing highly effective, client-centered representation across a wide range of practice areas.

That reputation has brought many of our clients to us through word of mouth referrals from clients who we have helped previously. Further, a number of our business clients have become ongoing clients as they appreciate the quality of work we have done for them and return when new issues arise.

We have developed our diversified practice so that we can truly serve the needs of our community. Founding attorney Dalton Floyd Jr has more than 50 years of experience. He has always had strong ties to our community and values the home it has provided to our firm. He has served our community and the state in numerous roles including as the chairman of the South Carolina Higher Education Commission for which he was recently awarded the Order of the Palmetto, the state's highest civilian award for service to the state.

We have a lifelong commitment to helping the people and businesses of South Carolina and work hard to build lasting relationships with all of our clients. Let us show you how that commitment and our experience and skill can help you.

In order to serve our clients, we understand that we need to be as convenient as possible for them. We understand legal fees can often times be a big ticket item and we feel it is incumbent upon us to be as accommodating as possible for our clients. This may mean an appointment at 7:30 a.m., staying late so our clients do not have to necessarily miss work, or traveling to their home, hospital or nursing home to make it possible for them to execute Wills, Powers of Attorney or other documents. We try to accommodate our clients by striving to be convenient, and consider the client's schedule as well as our schedule. We also accommodate our clients by ascertaining their communication preference, whether it is delivery of their legal documents by e-mail, courier, or snail mail. We understand and recognize that returning calls promptly, and keeping our clients advised of the status of their case or the legal matter we are handling for them is important to our clients. It boils down to caring about our clients.
