Charles R. Rhodes Jr. attended the University of South Carolina and graduated in 1985 cum laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Management. He continued his post graduate education in the University of South Carolina's combined degree program and earned his Juris Doctor from the University's School of Law and his Master of Business Administration from the University's College of Business in 1989. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1989 and has practiced continuously in South Carolina since his admission. Charles was also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court - District of South Carolina in 1990, the State of Florida in 1991 and the State of Georgia in 1994. Charles began practicing law with the Godwin Law Firm in Lake City, South Carolina in 1989. In Lake City, he was a member of the Lake City Lions Club. He moved to Conway, Horry County in 1990 and practiced in affiliation with Harry Pavilack and Associates in Myrtle Beach until 1996. He was a founding partner of Spirakis, Haar and Rhodes, L.L.P. in 1996 and practiced there until 2000 when he joined The Floyd Law Firm PC. Charles left The Floyd Law Firm PC in 2001 to co-found the law firm of Dantzler & Rhodes, P.A. in Conway, South Carolina to be closer to his young children. While in Conway, he was: a member and director of the Conway Rotary Club; a member of the Public Affairs Committee and director of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce; and a member and officer of the River Town Toastmaster's Club. He is a member of the Horry County School District Superintendent's Business Cabinet. He has been a member of Homewood Baptist Church since 1993 serving as Chairman of Deacons, Trustee, Personnel Committee member, Benevolence Committee member, Sunday School teacher, Small Group leader, Royal Ambassador Director, and Baptist Men's Leader.
Charles' legal experience spans a wide variety of legal areas including: real estate (residential and commercial), family law & domestic litigation, debt collection, personal injury litigation, Social Security disability, probate, simple estate planning, business organization (partnerships, corporations & limited liability companies), and appellate matters.
